BODY SHAMING - IT WONT MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER

I already wrote a Facebook post about this because it boiled my blood so much! So I wanted to sit down and talk about the shite that we have to read and listen to on a daily basis.

It all started when I saw a picture of the amazingly gorgeous Rihanna on my news feed. On the left hand side showed a non photo shopped version of her and on the right hand side it showed the photo shopped version!

Now I don't know about you guys, but if my body was going to be spread all over the internet I would also want to be airbrushed to the max to make sure no one saw any of my lumps, bumps and any other imperfections - so I don't understand why Rihanna is being singled out and slammed for having a photograph edited.

She is getting it from every angle - People don't like the fact that she is way to airbrushed in one picture, but the other half aren't happy with the original, using the term 'fat' and 'disgusting' to describe a perfectly healthy woman who is clearly still an absolute beaut.

Another example of the small mindedness was when a picture of Stacey Solomon who is in her 30's with 2 kids was put in the newspaper beside Louisa Johnson, a 19 year old girl. The caption said 'Top Flop - Former X factor singer Stacey gets that sinking feeling' - clearly referring to her boobs that are not as perky as the 19 year old posted beside her. She has had 2 kids and is over 10 years older than her for crying out loud!! GET A GRIP.

What would happen if there were no such thing as filters? Would we all be body shamed for being real? for having stretch marks, cellulite, uneven skin tone and anything else that we can think about slagging a person about?

Maybe then we would get this unrealistic idea of 'perfect' out of our heads and stop being so narrow minded about peoples bodies.

I don't know where people get the nerve to talk so badly about people all over social media. Whether it be a celeb or just your average Joe soap - Keep your opinions to yourself if you know damn well that they are offensive. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it at all.

Anyway my lovely's - RANT OVER!

Lots of Love

Tam
